Our story
It all started with our son, Jackson
When Jackson was diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disorder, our world changed. We tried everything to ease his symptoms and get our kid feeling better, including cooking all our meals from scratch.
What we discovered surprised us: what we cooked with mattered just as much as what we were cooking. Finding convenient snacks made without seed oils was nearly impossible. So we stopped looking and started making.
What began in our kitchen has grown into Jackson's, a mission to make snacks made from real veggies, avocado oil, and epic seasoning accessible to everyone.

Good Fats Changed Everything
Through trial and error, we discovered something powerful. A high-fat, low-carb diet built around fats helped reduce Jackson's inflammation and improve his wellbeing. That discovery changed everything.
Our whole family adopted this way of eating, but we missed snack foods. So we did what any determined family would do: we made our own. Sweet potato chips, kettle-cooked low and slow at home, experimenting with coconut oil, tallow, olive oil, lard, and eventually finding our hero ingredient in avocado oil.
The results were delicious. More importantly, Jackson felt better. Those chips were too good to keep to ourselves and just like that our snack company was born.
Walking into the Shark Tank
What started on our stovetop grew fast. Farmers' markets became Whole Foods Market. Word spread. People wanted what we were making, and we were just getting started.
Then came Shark Tank. We walked into the tank with our sweet potato chips and a mission to make snacks everyone could enjoy. Guest Shark Rohan Oza saw the potential and offered us a deal. That appearance put Jackson's on the map.
This company is our son's legacy and a way to share his story. His strength, bravery, and determination inspire us every single day, and growing this brand is how we honor him. Every chip, every bag, every snacker we reach.
So, what’s the update since Shark Tank? We've been busy. We updated our whole approach, moving exclusively to avocado oil and refreshing our look to bring more joy into the world. But some things we've been careful to keep exactly right. Jackson's name. Jackson's mission. And Jackson's smile. Look closely at our logo. That curve isn't just a design choice, it's Jackson's smile. A smile on every bag we make. A small reminder of the kid who started it all, and the reason we'll never stop.
From Colorado Roots to Wisconsin Production
As demand exploded, we faced a choice: stay small or scale the mission. We chose to bring better snacks to more people, but we wanted to do it our way.
Most snack companies hand off production to a comanufacturer, a shared facility where multiple brands rent space and products from different companies are made side by side. Different ingredients moving in and out, crossing paths. But it wasn't right for us.
We built our very own state-of-the-art facility in Muskego, Wisconsin, designed from the ground up for avocado oil. Our own snack factory. That means complete control over every ingredient that comes through our doors. Every batch made with the same care and intention as those first stovetop chips in our Colorado kitchen.
Now, with a growing team helping us drive the mission forward, Jackson's reaches grocery stores nationwide from neighborhood markets to Costco and Sam's Club. Colorado roots, proudly made in Wisconsin, national reach, same family values.
Something big is happening
Consumers are demanding better. Better ingredients, better oils, better snacks. The snack world is shifting. That demand doesn't go unnoticed and neither did we.
Snack Food & Wholesale Bakery named Jackson's the Snack Producer of the Year. Instacart recognized Jackson's as one of the fastest-growing emerging brands of 2024. Good Housekeeping highlighted our innovative flavors. Bon Appétit featured us in "The Healthy Snacks BA Editors Are Obsessed With" — their words, not ours.
